Aim: Advancement of International understanding, goodwill and peace
Through international meetings of all kinds like cooperation in Intercountry Committees (ICCs), relations between clubs und districts of different countries by jointly participating in World Community Service (WCS) projects, International Educational, Cultural and Youth Exchange Activities using the programs and resources of The Rotary Foundation (TRF) – www.rotary.org – whenever possible.
The 15 Rotary Districts in Germany each have a Chairman International Service. He is – like the Governor and the Governor-Elect – a member of the German Section of that Intercountry Committee for which the district is the Chair-District. See Rules for Intercountry Committees and Chair- Districts in Germany.The 28 Intercountry Committees with a German Section shall encourage and foster the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through international meetings and through supporting clubs und districts in linking with clubs und districts in other countries and jointly participating in World Community Service or other international projects.
33 Contact Points to additional countries will support clubs and Rotarians in getting in touch with clubs in the respective countries.
Where reasonable the Intercountry Committees shall cooperate with other Intercountry Committees including such without a German Section. It can be ordered as a CD or manual at the RI Europe/Africa Büro, Zürich.The RI international meetings which can be attended by every Rotarian are mainly the annual “World Convention” and other Conferences addressing specific issues.
