Im Jahr 2019 wurde auf der RI-Convention in Hamburg der formale Grundstein für den Länderausschuss Österreich - Deutschland - USA gelegt. Der Distrikt 1800 übernimmt als Leitdistrikt die formale Führung dieses trilateralen Länderausschusses.

Im Sinne des rotarischen Jahresmottos 2019/2020 von RI-Präsident Mark Daniel Maloney und dem Jahresmotto des kommenden rotarischen Jahres von RI-Präsident 2020/2021, Holger Knaack, ist das Ziel unseres Länderausschusses, in Zeiten zunehmender politisch-gesellschaftlicher Verwirrungen und Verständigungsschwierigkeiten das interkulturelle Verständnis zu fördern und über gemeinsame persönliche Beziehungen und Projekte die immer wichtiger werdenden freundschaftlichen Brücken zu bauen.

Im Rahmen der Gemeinschaft der bereits bestehenden Länderausschüsse sollen durch die Schaffung von Kontakten zu Rotariern, Clubs und Distrikten in verschiedenen Ländern die internationalen Beziehungen gefördert werden. Die Realisierung gemeinsamer Gemeindienstprojekte soll neben dem sehr wichtigen Jugendaustausch im Rahmen dieses Länderausschusses die internationale rotarische Freundschaft fördern.

The foundation for the Inter-Country Committee Austria - Germany - USA was laid in 2019 during the RI convention in Hamburg. The District 1800 will be taking over the formal leadership of this trilateral Inter-Country Committee.

Following RI president Mark Daniel Maloney’s Rotarian motto for 2019/2020 and the motto of Holger Knaack, RI president of the upcoming Rotarian year 2020/2021, the goal of our Inter-Country Committee is to promote the inter-cultural understanding in these times of increasing political and social confusion and diminishing communication. Furthermore, we want to bridge the inter-cultural divide by pursuing shared projects and building personal relationships.

International relations will be promoted by establishing connections with Rotarians, Clubs and Districts within the community of the existing Inter-Country Committees in various countries. And by realizing shared community service projects as well as the very important youth exchange within this Inter-Country Committee we will promote the international Rotarian friendship.
