An inspection of the work on project "Water for Life 2 Sohag" on the spot would take place on May 2nd, 2018. The Egyptian friends of Rotary, Mrs Yvonne Heimerdinger from Germany common Services (RDG) and Frank Müller-Römer took part . The work goes on speedily. In the afternoon detailed conversations and negotiations with the water authority Sohag took place about the further work on the project. Due to the changed exchange rate between Egyptian pound and U.S. dollar considerably more connections to the pipelines for drinking water and to the sewage system than previously planned can be carried out.

Completion of GG Project “Water for a Healthy Life Beni Suef” (25)
2017. 1.500 houses were connected to the Public Drinking Water Supply System, coupled with extensive instructions as to body hygiene and water consumption.
Connection of houses in a rural village to the sewage system (24)
2016: The Rotary Clubs Oldenburg and Cairo Heliopolis managed a Global Grant Project to connect houses in a rural settlement to the public sewage system.
Project “Incubators for prematurely born Children”, RC Oldenburg (23)
The Rotary Clubs Oldenburg and Cairo Heliopolis, with help from a number of other clubs, managed a Global Grant Project in 2015/16. In Sohag a children’s hospital was equipped with incubators for prematurely born children, and Egyptian physicians were taught how to use them.
Visit of the District Conference 2451 in Hurghada May 2017 (22)
May 2017: DG 1842 Peter Wohlrab and Frank Müller-Römer, Chairman of the German Section, Intercountry Committee Eygpt, attended the District Conference 2451 Egypt in Hurghada.
Global Grant Project “Connection of Houses to the Public Drinking Water Supply System in Beni Suef” (21)
In 2015/16, the Rotary Clubs Nibelungen Worm and Cairo Cosmopolitan managed a Global Grant Project “Connection of Houses of underprivileged Tenants to the Public Drinking Water System in Beni Suef”. Roughly 80 houses were connected.
Visit of District Conference 2451 in Assuan (20)
In March 2016, PDG 1842 Gerhard Zierl and Frank Müller-Römer, Chairman of the German Section, Intercountry Committee Egypt, were present at the District Conference in Assuan.
Meeting of the RC El Maadi with Representatives of Districts 1842 an 2451 (14)
The RC El Maadi sent out invitations for a formal meeting after the discussions with the Rotary Districts 1842 and 2451 had come to an end and the Project Agreement for the Global Grant Project “Water for a Healthy Life” had been signed.
Press Conference to inform the public about Project Agreement Water for Life (13)
After the Project Agreement “Water for a Healthy Life” had been signed on 15th July 2015, a press conference was held which was attended by a number of radio and TV stations. Details of the project were discussed, and the cooperation between Egyptian and German Rotary Clubs was explained and illustrated to the journalists present.

On 15th July 2015, representatives of Rotary Districts 1842 and 2451 met with members of the Intercountry Committee Egypt.
Closing of the Project Agreement for GG Project “Water for Life” (11)
Global Grant Project “Water for Life”: On 15th June 2015 the very last details were discussed, and the Project Agreement was duly signed by the RC El Maadi and the RC München Land.
GG Project Water for Life, Conference with the Water Authorities in Beni Sueif (10)
On 14th June 2015 Ms. Afaf Esmat (RC El Maadi), person in charge of the project, Frank Müller-Römer (RC München Land) and Project Manager Abdelaty Kabeel (RC El Maadi) conferred with the Chief of the Beni Sueif Water Authority, accompanied by Messrs. Amin Sabri, Agent for Potable Water Questions for Rotary District 2451, and DG 1842 Gerhard Zierl who also attended.
GG Project Water for a Healthy Life, Visit in El Hibha (9)
On 14th June 2015 DG 1842 Gerhard Zierl, Frank Müller-Römer, the person in charge of the project on behalf of RC München Land, Ms. Afaf Esmat, person in charge of the project on behalf of RC El Maadi (Cairo), Abdelaty Kabeel, Project Manager, and Amin Sabri, RC El Maadi, Agent of Rotary District 2451 for Potable Water Projects, visited the settlement Al Hibha, where needy residents will soon be connected to the Public Drinking Water System.
May 2015: Successful Completion of Project 7511 Literacy (17)
The MG Project 7851 “Education of Young Females in Egypt (Literacy)” that had been launched and conducted by the RC Heliopolis, the RC München-Englischer Garten and the RC München-Land, was successfully completed May 2015.
Visit of members of RC Worms-Nibelungen at Al Fant near Beni Sueif (8)
On February 15. 2015, ladies and friends from RC Worms-Nibelungen visited Al Fant, an Egyptian village near Beni Sueif. The group was led by friend Susann Jendricke. They met there with friends and ladies of RC Cairo Cosmopoilitan. In the village a Global Grant Project "Connection of Houses to the Public drinking water supply" will lead to definite improvements in th living conditions of the local people.
Year End 2014: Successful Completion of GG Project 1412160, Connection of Houses near Beni Sueif to the Public Fresh Water Supply System(19)
In December 2014 the Global Grant Project GG1412160, Connection of three smaller settlements near Beni Sueif (Central Egypt) to the Publish Fresh Water Supply System was successfully completed. The RC Al Shorouk had acted as Primary Host Sponsor and the RC München-Englischer Garten had served as Primary International Sponsor. Other Rotary Clubs from Munich, Vienna and Budapest had been participating.
Summer 2014: Successful Completion of MG Project 79236: Connection of a Village near Cairo to the Public Fresh Water Supply System (16)
The Matching Grant Project MG79236 (Connection of a Settlement near Cairo, Abdalla Pasha in Qualyoub to the Public Fresh Water Supply System), that had been launched and realized by the RC Horus Heliopolis, the RC München-Englischer Garten and three other Rotary Clubs in Munich, was successfully completed.
Get-together of Intercountry Committee members in Cairo
On February 25 2013 Rotarian Martin Gutsche (RC Oldenburg) and Frank Müller-Römer (Chairman of German Section of Intercountry Committee Egypt) spent time in Cairo. They met with the Chairwoman of the Egyptian Section Ms Soheir Wahib (RC Rhein-Nile Cairo) to discuss ways and means of further cooperation within the Committee.

Connection of a settlement in the Delta to the Public Fresh Water System (Water Project)
In 2012 the RC Oldenburg, its French partner club RC Soissons (District 1670) and the RC Heliopolis carried through and successfully completed a Matching Grant Project "Connection of a settlement in the Delta to the Public Fresh Water System" (see "Completed Projects")
Promotion of the job training for young Women (CLT)
The RC Heliopolis and the RC Oldenburg carry a joint project for the education of young women. For a period of nine months, reading writing and handwork lessons are offered for 30 classes of 20 young women each on five days a week.

In 2011 the Rotary Clubs of Rotenburg (Wümme) and Alexandria-Sporting carried out a Matching Grant Project with the intent to set up a sports field for a school of handicapped persons in Alexandria.

In 2009, the RC Geldern and the RC New Cairo carried a Matching Grant Project "Handwork Education and Preventive Health Measure Training for young Women". 240 young girls and woman were instructed under the CLE-Method in reading and writing plus job training.
Care of Lepra Patients (7)
The RC Cairo El-Orouba in cooperation with Caritas Cairo carry a project to provide for the care of Lepra Patients; they seek the support of German Clubs.
Photo Report Matching Grant Project: Diabetes for a foot clinic (2)
The RC Friesoythe-Artland-Cloppenburg and the RC Heliopolis purchased and surrendered an x-ray machine and a ultrasonic scanner device to a foot clinic, to used in the treatment of diabetes.
Partnership RC Heidelberg-Alte Brücke and RC Alexandria (Twinning)
In 2005 RC Heidelberg-Alte Brücke and RC Alexandria signed a twinning agreeement. The clubs met again in 2008, when a baby incubator was handed over to a Children´s clinic in Alexandria.
Matching Grant Project of German and Egyptian Rotaract Members in Alexandria
Since 2001 a joint project of German and Eygyptian Rotaract members has been under way and supported by Rotarian Action Group for Population and Development (RFPD) in Alexandria with the intent to further the foundation of small enterprises by granting micro credits, and also to provide for lessons in needle work, reading an writing (Literacy), and questions of preventive health measures.
